These are our thinnest roller bearings, sometimes referred to as drawn-cup roller bearings. A lip that keeps the bearing together is formed by drawing the outer ring outward. Bearings may be oblong before installation but take on the form of their housing.
Compared to sealed bearings, open bearings are more effective in dissipating heat.
Better at keeping out dust than open bearings, sealed bearings also hold onto heat longer.
