Corrosion-Resistant Fully Threaded Rod End Bolts
The fully threaded shaft may be shortened to whatever length you require for optimum mounting flexibility. These rod end bolts are suitable for corrosive and damp conditions. Rod end bolts, sometimes called swing bolts and eyebolts, are fixed in place. They are made to pivot or hinge in situations where misalignment compensation is not necessary
In humid and moist conditions, brass rod end bolts resist corrosion, although not as effectively as stainless steel bolts. Additionally, they lack strength. Brass bolts are frequently selected for their appearance or to complement other parts, such hinges.
Rod end bolts made of stainless steel types 303 and 304 won't rust in moist, humid, or washdown conditions. They are virtually as strong as steel and stronger than brass fasteners. However, if they are exposed to chemicals and salt water, they will rust. The matte-black treatment on black-oxide 303 stainless steel rod end bolts offers some corrosion resistance but is mostly selected for its aesthetic appeal.
The strongest rod end bolts are made of 17-4 PH stainless steel, which is comparable to high-strength alloy steel in terms of tensile strength. Additionally, they won't rust in damp, humid, or washdown conditions. They are frequently used in heat exchangers and drive trains for automobiles because they keep their exceptional strength and corrosion resistance even at high temperatures. They will, however, corrode when exposed to chemicals and salt water.
Our 316 stainless steel rod end bolts are the least susceptible to corrosion and are almost as powerful as steel rod end bolts. Without worrying about rust, use them in locations with chemicals, chlorine, and salt water.
